In a collaboration between Allied Insurance Company of the Maldives and Maldives Police Services, the “Rakka – Drive Safe, Save Lives”, Road Safety Campaign was held in Ralhugandu area, on the 28th and 29th of November 2014.
The purpose of the event was to instigate a road safety awareness campaign to promote safe roads for the people of Male’ City, aiming to minimize the possibilities of accidents by creating community awareness on the negative impact of road accidents.
The campaign was inaugurated by the Commissioner of Police, Mr Hussain Waheed and the Managing Director of State Trading Organisation PLC (STO), Mr Adam Azim.
Moreover, speaking at the event, the commissioner, Mr Hussain Waheed appreciated and thanked all those who were involved in organising the roadshow and highlighted that he seeks to see improvements in the road safety level of Male’, post to the show.
Several officials from Maldives Police Services and key executives and officers from Allied Insurance were present at the event.
The event constituted entertaining activities, a children’s evening, provision of information regarding road safety and displays of accident scenes for further awareness on the matter.
