Opening event of Rakka Campaign; Rakka Road Safety Run organized by Maldives Police Service in collaboration with Allied Insurance has officially begun today. In a special event held in Hulhumale’ Central Park, the event began with remarks from the Chief Guest; Home Ministry’s State Minister Mr. Ali Nazeer, high officials of Maldives Police Service and General Manager of Allied Insurance Company; Mr.Ahmed Shabiq. The speeches were followed by this year’s hashtag revealing and a run involving the 50 attendees of the ceremony.
This year’s Rakka campaign hashtag was launched by the Chief Guest; Home Ministry’s State Minister Mr. Ali Nazeer. Launching the #AmalunDhakkaanan hashtag, Mr.Nazeer praised Maldives Police Service and Allied Insurance on this continuous effort to educate the public on Road Safety matters. He further noted the positive results of this campaign and expressed his delight in seeing a huge number of registered participants in the run.
Rakka Road Safety Run is a virtual Run conducted with the aim of increasing road safety and traffic regulations awareness among the public. According to event pre-registration data, over 800 participants will be joining to achieve the common goal of running 5665km in total. Each runner can run any distance and upload their run details any number of times between 8th January – 31st January 2021.
