Hajj Corporation Limited signed an MoU between Maldives Islamic Bank and Allied Insurance Company of the Maldives

On 4th December 2013, at a special ceremony held at Maldives Islamic Centre, Hajj Corporation Limited signed an MOU between Maldives Islamic Bank and Allied Insurance Company of the Maldives aiming to strengthen its system of facilitating Maldivians to make their pilgrimage more reassuring and educate the people on Hajj related health and safety measures. 

Maldives Hajj Corporation is to provide special Hajj and Umrah packages for Maldivians. Speaking at the ceremony, the chairperson of Hajj Corporation Limited, Dr.Aishath Muneeza highlighted on the purpose of this initiative to provide affordable Hajj packages to Maldivians seeking to embark on holy journey to Mecca. The fees collected will be invested by the standards of Islamic Shari’ah and will be safeguarded by Allied Insurance Company through its Islamic Insurance window ‘Ayady Takaful’.

On behalf of the Allied Insurance Company, the agreement was signed by Mr. Ahmed Ameel, Managing Director of Allied Insurance Company.
